The Kansas City Museum traces the history of the great state from its beginnings as a cluster of Podunk trading shacks, to the bustling metropolis it is today. The museum is part of the Union Station, near the Crown Center. The building in which the museum is housed is a fifty year-old mansion, that also includes a 50-seat planetarium and a series of historical dioramas that showcase regional animals and great scenes from history.
